Mark 16 tells us that if we believe we can lay hands on the sick, and they will recover! This is covenant, God does not go back on His word. If this was the commission back then, it is the commission for today; God does today!
Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
A few months ago, I had taken my grand daughter to a resturant after church service. Behind us sat a woman and a man; and I could over hear her complaing of pain, at one point she even cried out to the Lord. After listening for a while I turned and the woman had stretched out on the booth seat. I got up and went over to the table apologized for listening but I couldn't help but over hear. I asked the woman if I could lay hands and pray for her. She replied yes and began to tell me that she had an injury and metal was in her neck. Well, I layed hands and begin to pray for the woman. I asked the woman if she still was in pain and she replied no, I'm not even kidding the pain is gone! I thanked the Lord for her healing and prayed that she may know Him. She was so excited, they got up and left. A couple minutes later she come back in and said thank you. The Lord desires to see us whole, set free and reconcilled. That's why He laid down His life for us. One of the names of God is healer (Rapha). Bless the Lord, for He is good and His mercy endures forever.
